We're proud of our athletes and their commitment to training! But our volunteers allow our programs to exist! Consider volunteering today!
- ATHLETES & FAMILIES
Humboldt County has a very active and enthusiastic program! Over 170 athletes participate in one or more of the seven sports offered during the year. The volunteers and coaches are dedicated to training the athletes to learn new sports skills in a positive and fun environment. Humboldt County offers a wide range of skill levels so that athletes can train with their peers of equal skill levels.
In order to participate in any Special Olympics sport, athletes are required to register for the sport(s) they are interested in participating in for the upcoming season. Practice Registration Periods will take place 1-2 months prior to the start of the first practice session for a given sport. Athletes must have a current Application for Participation on file with SONC in order to register. For information about upcoming and current Practice Registration Periods for Humboldt County, please the Area Director below.
