SUMMARY:2026 San Joaquin Basketball Regional Competition
DESCRIPTION:This regional competition is the culmination of the 8-week basketball season for over 300 Special Olympic athletes practicing throughout Amador\, Calaveras\, City of Galt\, San Joaquin\, Stanislaus & Tuolumne counties. Volunteers are needed as scorekeepers\, timekeepers during the games\, and Individual Skills Competition helpers. \n\n\n\nVolunteers must be at least 10 years old\, and those 10-13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent who is also registered and on the volunteer roster. SUMMARY:2026 Polar Plunge- Greater Sacramento Area Runs & Polar Plunge
DESCRIPTION:The Polar Plunge is one of SONorCal’s signature fundraising events\, and has become an annual tradition for locals and tourists alike. Come join the fun as costumed participants splash into the chilly waters of Granite Bay to prove that a little cold water can’t stop wacky exuberance in an effort to raise funds for Special Olympics Northern California. Volunteers make this event special\, as they help with set-up\, registration\, and customer service\, starting at 7:00 AM. \n\n\n\n\nVolunteers are encouraged to dress in fun costumes and to wear comfortable footwear. The Theme is Wild\, Wild West\n\n\n\nFood will be provided for all volunteers.\n\n\n\nVolunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult who is also registered as a volunteer.
