2022 Torch Run Recap

The annual Special Olympics Northern California Law Enforcement Torch Run took place in June 2022 to lead into our first in-person Summer Games in three years! Last year marked the 25th anniversary of the Law Enforcement Torch Run in Northern California.

More than 2,000 law enforcement personnel from 195 agencies throughout Northern California ran the Special Olympics Torch, the Flame of Hope, through their communities to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics. We are so grateful for the dedication and commitment of the Law Enforcement community to our amazing Special Olympics athletes! The 2022 Torch Run raised a record-breaking $417,000+ for Special Olympics!
