Special Olympics Northern California athletes recently took part in a Special Olympics Dental Academy with University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry.
Athletes met with students & staff to go through mock scenarios, share their experiences, and further educate the healthcare professionals on the best ways to treat people with disabilities.
The fun day also included an ability-awareness photo shoot by Rick Guidotti to capture the joy and positivity of our community. Thanks to our friend & Clinical Director Dr. Allen Wong for coordinating the event and working to promote more inclusive healthcare for people of all abilities.
