Special Olympics Northern California was proud to send a delegation of athletes, coaches and Unified partners to participate in the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando from June 5–12.
The USA Games happen just once every four years and bring together athletes from across the country to showcase their skills on a national stage. Team NorCal was comprised of 18 athletes, two Unified partners and five coaches who took part in swimming, track & field, and Unified golf. The USA Games also included a star-studded Opening Ceremony, Healthy Athletes activities, social events, and tons of Walt Disney World magic!
We’re so proud of Team NorCal for earning eight gold medals, seven silver medals, seven bronze medals, and a variety of ribbons.
