The Safeway Foundation supports Special Olympics Northern California throughout the year.
Safeway and Vons annually host the “Boost Their Abilities” campaign in all Northern California stores to encourage donations at checkout. In 2022, customers raised an incredible $250,000 for Special Olympics Northern California, along with raising funds for other nonprofits!
Safeway employees annually volunteer at Special Olympics events, including Summer Games. And Safeway stands for inclusion by hiring many Special Olympics athletes and other people with intellectual disabilities across our footprint.
