Special Olympics NorCal’s Family Health Forum will bring together families of individuals with intellectual disabilities to discuss shared experiences and learn about health advocacy from Dr. Glenda F. Newell-Harris, M.D., a practicing physician in internal medicine, author, speaker, patient advocate and global leader.
We are thankful for our partners at the Center for Community Engagement/Ethnic Health Institute for hosting at Samuel Merritt University (SMU) in their Health Education Center.
EVERY SUNDAY for the month of November, Tipsy Putt in Emeryville is teaming up with Special Olympics NorCal and will donate $1 for every beer and mini-golf game purchased. The proceeds will support the sports, educational, health and athlete leadership programs that Special Olympics offers for free to children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
