30th Anniversary Athlete Art Project
Did you know? Special Olympics Northern California is celebrating 30 YEARS in 2025! As a part of our celebration, we are featuring athlete artwork at this year’s Summer Games. We want to know – and see – what Special Olympics means to you. This could be your favorite sport, winning a medal, the friendships, your favorite moment or more!
Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Draw something about Special Olympics that makes you happy.
- Draw something about Special Olympics that is meaningful to you.
- Draw what you love most about Special Olympics (it could be your sports, medals or anything!)
- Draw something with a 30 to celebrate Special Olympics NorCal’s anniversary
Rules:
Create your drawing on an 8 ½’’ x 11’’ sheet of white paper – the bigger the design, the better it will print! Take a photo of your artwork or scan it and send it in by Wednesday, May 28. Please make sure you take a good photo in a well-lit area. You worked hard on it – so we want to see it at its best!
Where will my art be shown?
Submissions will be featured on the SONC.org Summer Games page. A select number of submissions will be displayed at a gallery at Summer Games and during the Opening Ceremony and dance. One submission will be created into a sticker to be given to all Summer Games attendees, for purchase as a T-shirt at Summer Games, and as a T-shirt at the Flyers Fall Classic Golf Tournament.
